Strength for the Journey Part 1

We all know or have an idea of what we want and where we are going but forget that we will encounter obstacles. Do not assume that your journey shall be straight through out. You know that you want to succeed in life right? You know that you want a good career or better still start your own business right? Or you know you want to someday get married and have kids right? But are you so naïve to think it’s gonna be that easy. It is lack of strength that make people abandon marriages, abandon their jobs, abandon their relationships just because the devil roared. I tell you from experience that I want all the above but my journey is full of obstacles. So this post is to enable us to know areas in which our strength is

You will never know the ability you have until you grab a challenge. The roar of the Lion of the tribe of Judah is the voice of strength and roar of the devil is the roar/voice of fear.

Samson knew what he wanted and whom he wanted to marry. As they were heading to the girls place together with his parents, a Lion appeared and he teared the lions jaw. It was God who gave him the strength to do this. Read Judges 14:1-7. The lion was his obstacle.

The challenge you are facing is a stepping stone.  Everything you are facing is going to work together for good. Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

That thing that the devil said will destroy you will become your testimony. God prepares a table before you before your enemies. It takes spiritual ability/strength to take up the challenges.

Areas where strength is required

  1. Strength to wait: This is the strength to be patient even through our challenges. Not giving up easily because there is a miracle of the 11th  hour. Even when we see that there is no way, remember that God creates a way where there seems to be no way,
  2. Strength to create: According to Rev. John Goodnews, Adam was not born again. He represents mankind and not Christians. Mankind have a creative ability. Think of the guys who have come up with these big innovations, Steve Jobs etc. Where they born again? I don’t think so. Creativity is fine tuned in born again Christians.

In conclusion, life is a journey and has to be continuous with creativity.
